Memories..

Sunday 10 July 2005 at 4:37 pm I run a Konfabulator widget on my desktop called Picture Frame which accesses over 4,500 pictures from the past few years. I didn't think I'd much like the widget when I downloaded and installed it but the memories pulled up by the random selection of pictures I am presented with daily make it invaluable. The picture below was taken while on R&R in Nairobi Kenya in the fall of 1994.

The safari I was participating in was a welcome change to the day to day life in Rwanda. The zebra pictured below was but one of thousands in the herds passed that day. One of the photos I took that day was published as the cover picture of the United nations magazine which was distributed to my peers while we were still deployed in Africa... Memories..
