The sunny south!

Tuesday 18 October 2005 at 04:28 am I recently returned from 10 days in the sunny south. The trip was a business trip and my schedule was quite full but time was still taken to enjoy the great offerings that a trip to the Caribbean could offer. Walks on the beaches, great food, drinks with those funny little umbrellas in them.. ahh, life is good.

I spent the first couple of days in Curacao on the northern tip of South America. A day of rest was initially planned in Curacao but my schedule changed at the last minute and much of my time there was spent working.

After visiting Curacao a week was spent on the gorgeous island of Martinique. I was able to take a day to explore a bit, spend some time on a beach or two and just relax. The island has more to offer than I was able to see.. but what I did see left me speechless. If you can speak French and are looking for a great Caribbean getaway I highly recommend this destination. Friendly people, great food and amazing landscapes will fill any vacation to this island with great memories.
