Mrs 'G' admitted to hospital.

Since returning from my trip to the Caribbean my entire family has been fighting off the bug that has been going around. Coughs, sniffles and headaches have been pretty much normal for all of us making us all feel like crap.

Mrs 'G' has managed to take it to the next level. The past few days have been hard for her, only seeing her stop coughing when drug induced sleep was taking place. This morning she looked so weak that a trip to the hospital was, without a doubt, required.

We were only there for about 2 minutes when they whisked her away and started oxygen and a barrage of tests. About 40 minutes later we found out that pneumonia had been ruled out but a severe lung infection was only being made worse by her asthma and that she was being admitted immediately for observation. I'll be returning to the hospital later this afternoon and hope to get more information about the estimated length of her stay.

The sunny south!

I recently returned from 10 days in the sunny south. The trip was a business trip and my schedule was quite full but time was still taken to enjoy the great offerings that a trip to the Caribbean could offer. Walks on the beaches, great food, drinks with those funny little umbrellas in them.. ahh, life is good.

I spent the first couple of days in Curacao on the northern tip of South America. A day of rest was initially planned in Curacao but my schedule changed at the last minute and much of my time there was spent working.

After visiting Curacao a week was spent on the gorgeous island of Martinique. I was able to take a day to explore a bit, spend some time on a beach or two and just relax. The island has more to offer than I was able to see.. but what I did see left me speechless. If you can speak French and are looking for a great Caribbean getaway I highly recommend this destination. Friendly people, great food and amazing landscapes will fill any vacation to this island with great memories.
